About

Sarah Mellish - Clinical Psychologist.

Hi, I’m Sarah. I’m a clinical psychologist registered with the Psychology Board of Australia, and I provide evidence-based treatments for mental health and wellbeing concerns.

My practice is grounded in respect and curiosity about each person’s unique journey.

I believe that forming a genuine connection is key to helping people navigate life’s unexpected twists and turns. Through my experience in government, EAP, and private practice settings, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals from many walks of life. I’ve witnessed incredible resilience in people who, despite facing difficult circumstances, find ways to adapt, grow, and keep moving forward.

My goal is to create a compassionate, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward the life you envision. I am truly dedicated to helping my clients live lives that feel meaningful and align with what matters most to them.

Alongside my clinical work, I’m involved in teaching and research at the University of South Australia.

One of my favourite courses to teach is called "Connecting and Working with Nature," where we explore how nature can be a powerful tool for healing and personal growth. In this course, we delve into the therapeutic benefits of spending time outdoors, the positive effects of nature on mental health, and how we can connect with the natural world in meaningful ways. It's always inspiring to see students embrace these ideas and integrate them into their own lives and practices.

Most recently, my research has explored the psychological impact of bushfire events and how social media can be used to raise awareness and support for endometriosis.
